Good food and a good atmosphere! Loved the waffle fries and burgers. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back to see Papa, can't go wrong here. Keep up the great work yall!!!!!!

I absolutely loved this restaurant! I ordered the Jam Sesh burger with sweet potato fries, as well as the cheese curds, everything was delicious. This restaurant has a great atmosphere, an awesome outdoor setup as well as live music. Our waiter (wish i remembered his name!) was excellent and went above and beyond! highly enjoyed and definitely will return!

Absolutely excellent burgers – you can taste the quality in the beef with every bite. The waffle fries were outstanding, crispy and seasoned just right. I went with the sweet potato fries and they were off the chain – seriously some of the best I’ve had. The atmosphere was perfect. Sitting outside, facing 30A, enjoying great food with a great view... it doesn’t get much better. If you’re in the area, this spot is 100% worth a visit. Great food, great vibe, no complaints.

We had a wonderful experience at Papa Surf Burger during a recent family outing. We came in with a big group—including our kids—and were blown away by how smoothly everything went. Jon, the manager, was incredibly professional and attentive from the moment we arrived. He and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our food allergies, which made a huge difference and allowed us to relax and enjoy the meal. The kids absolutely loved their burgers and my wife and I were just as impressed with the quality and flavor of the food. Pricing was more than fair, especially considering the great atmosphere and the bonus of live music playing while we ate. Papa Surf Burger delivered on every level, and thanks to Jon and his fantastic team, we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a fun, well-run spot with great food and service.

Papa Surf Burger Bar delivers big on flavor! The burgers were absolutely delicious, juicy, fresh, and packed with creative toppings that really set them apart. The overall vibe of the place was super laid-back and inviting. The staff was friendly and made us feel right at home. The live music was a nice touch and made the evening even more enjoyable. While the burger portions were a bit on the smaller side for the price, the salads were a good size and very satisfying. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving a great burger in a fun atmosphere!

Our first visit to this area in Florida for six weeks brought us to Papa Surf! We ate there three times! Once was a carry out and two times outdoor dining. The design and atmosphere is so inviting and relaxing. Being dog friendly, our pup loved it too. The food, multiple menu items were perfectly prepared and delicious. The service was great. Very nice staff and well mannered. A special mention to Jonathan the manager; on one visit he along with other staff members went out of their way to welcome us before seating. Very friendly. Our server(s) checked on us frequently. The vibe is unique. Great location across from public beach access to the ocean. The outdoor seating offers multiple options. The front ‘porch’ with a large screen tv (we were there during the Super Bowl). The backside is beautiful under the large Magnolia trees! The outdoor evening lighting was a warm ambiance. The music playing was so good! All genres, come to find out after speaking with Jonathan the manager that he creates the playlist AND there’s a QR code for it! Awesome we could listen to it on our own! The burgers were a standout along with the waffle fries. My husband favored the Pineapple teriyaki chicken sandwich. Loved this establishment, very clean inside and out. We had the opportunity to talk with Jonathan the manager; he clearly loves his job. Great guy, very passionate about this place. He makes a point to be visible and speak to the patrons. Austin was another employee we remember. Very professional. Of course we loved that our pup could join us. I wanted to take the time to leave a detailed review as we dined at high end restaurants as well during our stay. Do not overlook Papa Burger Bar! We are back home and miss it already! Wow!!!! This place was AMAZING! This is actually my first review of a food establishment because it was THAT good! We drove up and were a little nervous because we saw there was no line or not very busy at all. We got sat right away by the friendly girl at the host stand. They had a live band which made the outside atmosphere even better. Our waiter came over with waters to greet us at the table which was great because we usually order waters anyway my husband had The Burnin’ it down burger and he loved it! I had The beach cowboy and wow was it amazing! Everything about that burger was perfection We drove 20 mins to eat at Papa Surf’s on a whim as I googled “best homemade burgers in Destin” and it was one of the options. It did not disappoint! We will definitely be back when we are back in town!

The back patio with the huge magnolia tree is amazing. A great spot for outdoor dining — and live music some nights. Service is always friendly. They have Athletic N/A beers plus a THC beverage option for those who don’t drink alcohol. There’s a vegetarian burger option, which was just okay to me, but everything else I’ve tried or others with me have tried has been really good.
